What in the World is Reece Doing? - Team.
Updated: Jul 7, 2022
Dear Friend,
Hello! I hope this newsletter finds you well. I have been keeping busy, and I have some exciting news and updates from my life.
Exciting news first: I’m going to Zambia (again)!! This time just for a week. I have been given the opportunity to help the Expedition director with establishing relationships with and ministering to the AMT students on the base in Livingstone. AMT is the Advanced Missionary Training program by Overland Missions that I completed in the fall of last year. I am so excited to have the chance be involved in this community that is raising up nation shakers! I will be flying out November 1st. and will return the 11th. I want to acknowledge and thank the partners on my team (you) that have been faithfully supporting me. You not only made this trip possible, but also have made it possible for me to continue working on growing my team of partners. Thank you.
Personal Update: Our family came together to celebrate the marriage of my sister Hagann and her now husband Reese McConnell. I may be biased, but it was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever witnessed. Our family is very proud to welcome Reese (and his dogs).
Team: Recently I have been able to call and chat with a good friend, Zach, who I met in Zambia. Zach is an expedition leader with Overland Missions. It’s been so nice chatting with Zach and hearing more about Expeditions. On our last call we took time to pray about whatever came up. Our prayers turned from whatever we were doing that week to praying for next year’s expeditions — the nations we would be going to, the people we would meet, the teams that would go. It is so encouraging to be a part of a team doing amazing things for the Kingdom of God. I am thankful for all of my partners who are a part of that team. Please continue to keep me in your prayers, but also be praying for the people that need the Gospel. Pray for the preparation of the teams going to the nations, pray for open doors and open hearts, and pray for the one that desperately needs an encounter with Jesus.
When I return from Zambia, I will be jumping right back into meeting with potential partners. I still need more monthly commitments to be fully funded and ready to launch full-time. Please be praying that I meet with the people that God has for me to partner with. Do you know of someone who would be interested in joining this team? Let me know. God is on the move, and I am excited to be busy with what He is doing in the world — from traveling to Africa to catching coffee with new partners. I appreciate you prayers, love, and support.
